Matching the Baseline
Matching the baseline can blend you in, exploiting stereotypes within the base line can make you invisible. The importance of being able to move undetected and unseen in a dangerous environment cannot be understated. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is by mastering the art of disguise and escape and evasion. Specifically by exploiting human stereotypes.
The concept of "matching the baseline" refers to the ability to blend in with one's surroundings by adopting the mannerisms, dress, and behavior of those around them. This can be achieved by studying the color palette and customs of the area you are in. If its a business area donning a black or dark blue suit will likely have you looking like everyone else. Where as if you show up to the board room wearing a football jersey your gonna be the odd man out.
Exploiting stereotypes
For those that need to take it step further and truly disappear. Exploiting stereotypes could be the next step. Operatives running surveillance or evading it whether its criminals or a battlefield adversary being the prime example. You can blend into the base line that’s great but you want your pursuer or target to actively ignore you. Thats where stereotypes come in.
